Arsenal / Arshavin deal is complete but the premier league need to confirm the paperwork first thing Tuesday (3rd February 2009) morning.

Dennis Lachter (Andrei Arshavin's agent) says that "in 16 years this has been the most difficult transfer ever" without going into details why. The deal is reported to be a 3.5 year deal (which will make him 30 / 31 - which is Arsenal's euthenasia tipping point, after which Wenger only offers 1 year contract extensions), for a fee of £12m.

Arshavin was in London today ahead of Arsenal and Zenit agreeing a fee - just to mke sure that there were no hold-ups on a medical and personal terms.

Mr. Andrei Arshavin, on behalf of loyal Gunners all over the world may I officially welcome you to... The Arsenal.
