On reading the "is he or isn't he" stories this morning, it occurred to me that our club transfer record is still the £13 we paid Bordeaux in 2000 for Sylain Wiltord.
Knowing the board's (Peter Hill-Wood's) view that Arsene has plenty of money to spend in the market should he choose to do so... What exactly do they call "plenty of money" ? Referring back to my article a few days ago I made the case that Arsene doesn't work with "big" players that haven't been moulded by him - do you think the board has picked up on this and cut his cloth for him accordingly ?
Its certainly a more plausible explanation than some I've read and heard.
